Makes 2 of us….this was posted at the airport just after the Aspen Food & Wine Classic a few days ago. I can just see Jacques Pepin or such, defending his need to take a POPSICLE maker as carry-on, lest it get banged around in general luggage, LMAO!

What I’d love to see, and read about, and hear on the evening news was the terrorist that tried to take down a plane with a popsicle maker! After everyone finished laughing their asses off I’m pretty sure they would subdue the guy with a 50,000 Kg weight suspended from the ceiling over his head 😉 “but what if they attack you with a pointed stick?”…

OK, I’m pretty sure I’m the only one that gets the humor in this Monty Python reference…

Flying Circus….LOVE Monty Python! And a PERFECT reference!!! With warnings like these you have to wonder who the first person was that tried to get through with a popsicle maker and got it taken from them…and the argument that must’ve ensued.

The threat of a Popsicle induced brain freeze perpetrated on the flight crew is nothing to sneeze at…I applaud the heroic efforts of the TSA on this matter.

I also approve of them making a last minute addition and also banning potato peelers as well. Pilot Spuds Mctater should not have to live in fear of an attack on his well being.

What the hell is a popsicle maker any way?

Only ones I know of are plastic containers that usually hold enough liquid in individual “pockets” to make 6 or 8 popsicles…then you cover it with a metal lid and insert the wooden sticks through the slits in it….dangerous shit, yo! 🙂

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had my potato peeler and popsicle maker confiscated at the airport. I think you’d have to be f’n McGyver to make trouble with a popsicle maker on a plane. What am I missing here?

I’m sure customs went home with a doosie of a story that day, whatever the hell it was that happened to make them add that warning.
